Our client is an international EPC firm engaged in the delivery of a major nuclear new-build program in Saudi Arabia. They require an experienced Construction Manager to lead nuclear island construction activities — the most technically demanding and safety-critical phase of the build.
This is a senior field leadership role. You will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and schedule-driven execution of nuclear island construction scope, managing subcontractors, interfaces, and quality hold points across a complex multi-year construction program.
Responsibilities
• Lead all construction activities within the nuclear island scope, including containment structure, reactor building, and safety-related systems installation
• Manage construction subcontractors and direct hire craft to execute work safely, on schedule, and in compliance with nuclear quality requirements
• Interface with the quality assurance and quality control functions to ensure all work meets NQA-1 and applicable code requirements
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to manage work packages, material deliveries, and turnover milestones
• Maintain construction progress reporting and participate in schedule review and recovery planning
• Enforce nuclear safety culture principles on the construction site and lead by example
• Manage field change requests, non-conformance reports, and corrective action processes
Requirements
• Minimum 15 years of construction management experience, with at least 5 years in nuclear new-build construction
• Demonstrated experience in nuclear island construction on a Gen-III or Gen-III+ reactor program — AP1000, APR1400, EPR, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of NQA-1 quality assurance requirements and nuclear construction codes
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary construction teams in a regulated environment
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety qualification; nuclear safety training current
• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia on a residential or rotational basis
