A sovereign nuclear infrastructure program of national strategic importance requires a Program Director with the experience, credibility, and judgment to lead delivery at the highest level. This is one of the most consequential program leadership roles in the global nuclear industry today.
Reporting to the executive leadership of the program owner, the Program Director holds accountability for the integrated delivery of a major civil nuclear infrastructure initiative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia — encompassing schedule, budget, EPC contractor interface, stakeholder management, and program governance.
Responsibilities
• Hold overall delivery accountability for the nuclear infrastructure program, with direct reporting to the program's executive sponsor
• Lead the program's integrated management team across engineering, procurement, construction, licensing, safety, and commercial functions
• Own the interface with EPC contractors — managing performance, commercial claims, and technical disputes at program director level
• Maintain stakeholder relationships with KACARE, the NRRC, government ministries, and international partners
• Chair program governance forums including schedule reviews, risk reviews, and executive reporting
• Establish and maintain the program's project controls infrastructure — schedule, cost, earned value, and risk management
• Lead senior talent acquisition and organizational development for the program team
Requirements
• 20+ years of major capital program delivery experience, with direct accountability for programs exceeding $1B in value
• Nuclear new-build experience strongly preferred; major infrastructure programs (transport, defense, energy) considered
• Demonstrated track record of managing complex EPC contracts and multi-party program structures
• Experience working in or alongside sovereign program structures in the Middle East or comparable environments
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management capability at government and board level
• Willingness to be based in Riyadh on a full-time residential basis
